The Wall Street Journal today announces that Alaska Airlines (are there any airports there?) will be the first to offer Wifi in the Sky in the world. So what’s happening in Europe?

Lufthansa did a test project with Boeing in the past called ConnexionbyBoeing. They did not succeed due to a lack of interest. But that was 2003! Now everybody has WIFI cell phones, and wireless enabled laptops.

Ryanair in the meanwhile are awaiting an approval to go forward with their wifi in the sky.  Just to enable you to gamble online while in the sky! Neat.

AirFrance-KLM are talking about “technically feasable” (everybody knows that). But they are unsure whether there will be a sufficient demand. The probably aren’t ready yet with their tests to make sure you don’t crash the plan while opening your laptop.

You can’t open any RSS feed or the damn thing is in there: that f***ing Iphone. All very nice and stuff, but here in Europe, I’m not interested in it as long as the thing is not in the shops, so just a little revange video (pure fustration off course!)

Pretty cool what this guy did in a flash file lighter than 1Kb (for you who do not have any idea what I’m talking about; that a pretty small file).

I have been looking to find this type of mobile since a long time: I have 2 cell phones now, so two different SIM cards, 2 adapters, 2 of everything. 1 for my swedish account and 1 for my Belgian account.

The search is over. I just have some doubts on the specs of this phone in terms of connectivity etc.

Big deal! Youtube is in terms of visits is taking over the lead from Giant BBC.co.uk Read it here

Another change in statistics that is assigned to Youtube. Since a couple years, P2P traffic is larger over the internet than http traffic. Now, and some people think it’s due to Youtube, http is taking back over. Read it in this PDF
